We have had some very busy days lately. The type of busy days that you need to prepare everything the night before because if you don’t, you are one mis-step from utter chaos. One way to get ready for the next day is to make breakfast ahead of time.
There is nothing better than getting out of a warm comfy bed and following the sweet aroma trail right into the kitchen. Unfortunately, in my house, that usually means I’m the one initiating the sweet aroma.
Occasionally, Todd will fix breakfast on a weekend morning, usually something involving bacon, but most days it’s me. I don’t mind but since I’m not a morning person, and both kids wake up in starvation mode, it’s nice to have breakfast already made.
Hence, Crockpot Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal
Awe, the smell of baked apples and cinnamon floating through the air is enough goodness to put anyone in Fall mode. This Crockpot Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal Recipe is hearty and rich in taste. The texture is creamy with soft chunks of diced apple baked right in.
My kids gulped this Crockpot Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal like it was their last meal. I love this recipe because it takes very little time to make and it’s really healthy. Unlike, store bought flavored oatmeal, this recipe is only sweetened with honey and flavored with coconut oil, almond milk, apple, cinnamon and a pinch of sea salt. That’s it!
In fact, if you go to the Quaker Oats product page, they state that their Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal is both naturally and artificially sweetened. Just what exactly is artificial is unknown to us, the consumer. So, no thanks…we’ll pass. 🙂
Now, that we know that this recipe is cleaner, healthier and better tasting; let’s find out how to make this fabulous 7 ingredient Crockpot Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal recipe.
I would love to hear from you. If you give this recipe a try, please let me know by giving the recipe a rating and leaving a comment.
